Enabling Third-Party Cookies for Mobile Safari
A quick 3-step guide to allow cookies so you can sign in and use the Ilmversity portal on your iPhone or iPad.
Why do I need to do this?
By default, Safari on iPhone and iPad blocks some cross-site (third-party) cookies to protect your privacy. A few parts of the Ilmversity portal rely on these cookies to keep you securely signed in. Following the steps below allows those cookies so everything works as expected. It only takes a minute.
Open the Settings app
On your iPhone or iPad, close Safari and open the iOS Settings app (the grey gear icon on your home screen). Cross-site cookie controls live in Settings, not inside Safari itself.
Tap Safari
Scroll down the Settings list until you find Safari, then tap it to open Safari’s settings. Scroll down to the Privacy & Security section.
Turn off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking”
Under Privacy & Security, toggle Prevent Cross-Site Tracking OFF (the switch should turn grey). On older iOS versions, also make sure Block All Cookies is switched OFF.
Reopen Safari and reload Ilmversity
Return to Safari, go back to the Ilmversity page and refresh it. You should now be able to sign in and use the portal without cookie warnings.
That's it! Once cross-site tracking is turned off, reload the Ilmversity page in Safari and sign in as usual. You can turn the setting back on later if you prefer.
